Ripple said corporate finance teams are moving beyond viewing digital assets only as speculative instruments as it expands XRP and RLUSD across treasury and payment products.

Ripple Treasury introduced native digital-asset capabilities on April 1, adding Digital Asset Accounts and Unified Treasury. The system allows finance teams to view and manage fiat and digital liquidity within one treasury environment.

Ripple distinguishes between XRP and RLUSD because they carry different risk profiles. XRP trades freely in open markets and can serve as a bridge asset for cross-border settlement and liquidity. RLUSD is designed to maintain a value of one U.S. dollar and is positioned for payment and treasury functions requiring dollar-denominated value.

Ripple has also cited a 2026 survey of more than 1,000 finance leaders. The company said 72% believed their organizations needed to offer a digital-asset solution to remain competitive, while 74% said stablecoins could improve cash-flow efficiency and free trapped working capital. These figures reflect Ripple’s survey sample rather than independently verified adoption.

Ripple Payments can support treasury transfers between subsidiaries, contractor payouts and global payroll. Businesses can deliver stablecoins such as RLUSD to wallets or convert funds into local fiat through banking partners.

Ripple’s latest transparency data showed $2.3956 billion of RLUSD in circulation and $2.5177 billion in reserve funds as of Sept. 3.

Separately, RippleX added support for the Machine Payments Protocol to its XRPL AI Starter Kit. MPP was co-authored by Stripe and Tempo. XRPL’s support for the open standard does not establish a direct commercial partnership between Ripple and Stripe.
