Moscow Exchange will launch five perpetual crypto futures on Sept. 22 as Russia expands regulated digital-asset trading.
The new contracts will track Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and Tron indexes. MOEX will restrict the products to qualified investors and settle them financially in Russian rubles.
The exchange will introduce BTCUSDF, ETHUSDF, SOLUSDF, XRPUSDF and TRXUSDF. Each product will track a corresponding MOEX crypto index.
The contracts are structured as one-day futures with automatic rollover. That allows traders to maintain positions without manually moving exposure into a new monthly contract.
Bitcoin and Ether index futures began trading on Nov. 18, 2025, while Solana, XRP and Tron index futures followed on May 14, 2026.
The perpetual contracts will be quoted in U.S. dollars, but collateral, margin calculations and final financial settlement will take place in Russian rubles. Investors will not receive the underlying cryptoassets.
Investor participation has increased since MOEX entered the crypto derivatives market. The exchange said more than 72,000 qualified investors had traded crypto-linked futures, with cumulative turnover exceeding 600 billion rubles. Average daily turnover during August was about 2.5 billion rubles.
The products remain available only to qualified investors under Russia’s current derivatives framework.
